    HOUSING FAIR AT RAINBOW PARK

Chicago, IL ANS

Dr. Fred Frederick leads the 4th Annual "Housing Information and Educational Forum" at Rainbow Beach Park, a series of workshops and community housing vendors with information and opportunities for South Shore Residents, Saturday morning, Sept 10.

Harris Bank revealed an offer of 3% minimum down payment for a program alternative to high cost FHA loans. Illinois Service Federal Savings & Loan Association (founded by Louise K. Quarles Lawson ) spoke of monies supporting cooperative housing projects. Among other vendors were University National Bank and Fifth Third explaining their housing loans, and such civic organizations as Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago, Inc.and the Chicago Department of Housing.

Following upon his Back to School event held last weekend, Dr. Frederick as an organizer and concerned citizen certainly exemplifies what is best and good about South Shore.
